Searching for the Grand Seiko boutique Ginza address, and finding three different answers? That's because there really are three. Grand Seiko's official Japan store list now shows three boutiques in Ginza alone, plus one in Omotesando, one in Osaka and one in Kyoto. This guide puts all six in one place, with addresses, opening hours and contact details taken from Grand Seiko's own pages.
We also explain what makes each Ginza boutique different, what we could and could not confirm about appointments, and how tax-free shopping changes for travelers on November 1, 2026.
A quick note before we start. Roleyome is an independent media site. We don't sell, buy or appraise watches, and we have no connection with Grand Seiko, Seiko Watch Corporation, Wako or any store listed here. We have not visited these boutiques ourselves. Everything below comes from Grand Seiko's official Japanese website (grand-seiko.com), checked on October 17, 2026.
Where are the Grand Seiko boutiques in Ginza?
Grand Seiko's store list for Japan names these three Ginza locations. All three list opening hours of 11:00 to 19:00.
| Boutique (as Grand Seiko names it) | Address | Hours | Phone |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grand Seiko Flagship Boutique GINZA | Wako main store, 1F–2F, 4-5-11 Ginza, Chuo City, Tokyo 104-8105 | 11:00 to 19:00 | +81 3-3562-2111 |
| Grand Seiko Flagship Boutique Ginza Namiki Street | 6-6-5 Ginza, Chuo City, Tokyo 104-0061 | 11:00 to 19:00 | +81 3-6228-5918 |
| Grand Seiko Boutique Ginza | 7-9-16 Ginza, Chuo City, Tokyo 104-0061 | 11:00 to 19:00 | +81 3-3562-3800 |
Grand Seiko's pages for these boutiques don't list regular closing days. If you plan to visit on a public holiday or during the New Year period, call or email first.
You may also find older English articles from 2023 with longer evening hours for the Namiki Street boutique. The official page we checked shows 11:00 to 19:00. Go by the official page, and check it again close to your visit.
If you're planning a full watch day in Ginza, the area also has several Rolex boutiques. Our guide to the Rolex boutiques in Ginza and how to visit them covers that side of the story.
Grand Seiko Flagship Boutique GINZA, inside Wako
The first name on Grand Seiko's list is the Grand Seiko Flagship Boutique GINZA. It occupies the first and second floors of the Wako main store (Wako Honten) at 4-5-11 Ginza. The boutique's official page links to Wako's own website (wako.co.jp).
Grand Seiko's page describes four areas:
- Library: historical Grand Seiko models and past publications.
- Lounge: large sofas, with brand films and brand books.
- Watch bar: an archive of Wako-exclusive Grand Seiko models. Bespoke orders are offered for 18K gold and platinum models only.
- Living area: around 30 to 40 current high-end models, including 18K gold and limited editions, that you can try on.
This is the only one of the six boutiques whose official page mentions visit reservations. It says you can book a visit online through Wako's watch reservation site. It doesn't say whether a reservation is required. So if this boutique is the reason for your trip, booking a slot is the safer plan.
Grand Seiko Flagship Boutique Ginza Namiki Street
The Grand Seiko Flagship Boutique Ginza Namiki Street is at 6-6-5 Ginza, on Namiki Street (Namiki-dori).
According to Grand Seiko's page, this boutique has:
- a wide lineup, including boutique-exclusive and limited models
- a spacious lounge used for special events, such as movement assembly demonstrations by Grand Seiko's craftspeople
- a private consultation room
It also lists an email address: ginzanamiki@grandseikoboutique.jp. Email is handy for travelers. You can send your travel dates and the model you want before you fly, and ask whether they can reply in English.
Grand Seiko Boutique Ginza: the first one in Japan
The third Ginza location, Grand Seiko Boutique Ginza, is at 7-9-16 Ginza. Grand Seiko calls it Japan's first Grand Seiko boutique. Its page describes a bright interior with white plaster-style walls and pale wood display cases.
The page mentions boutique-exclusive and limited models, staff with specialist knowledge, and a private consultation room. The email address is info@ginza.grand-seiko.com.
So which Ginza boutique should you visit first? Here is a simple way to choose:
| If you want to… | Start with |
|---|---|
| See and try on high-end gold and platinum pieces, or Wako-exclusive models | Flagship Boutique GINZA (Wako) |
| Look at a wide lineup and maybe catch an event | Flagship Boutique Ginza Namiki Street |
| Visit Japan's first Grand Seiko boutique | Grand Seiko Boutique Ginza |
They're all in Ginza, so seeing two or three in one afternoon is realistic. Just remember that each one closes at 19:00.
Grand Seiko boutiques in Omotesando, Osaka and Kyoto
Outside Ginza, Grand Seiko's store list for Japan shows three more boutiques.
| Boutique | Address | Hours | Phone |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grand Seiko Boutique Omotesando Hills | Omotesando Hills West Wing 1F, 4-12-10 Jingumae, Shibuya City, Tokyo 150-0001 | 11:00 to 20:00 | +81 3-3470-3011 |
| Grand Seiko Boutique Osaka Shinsaibashi | Osaka Toyota Building 1F, 4-3-11 Minamisenba, Chuo-ku, Osaka 542-0081 | 11:00 to 19:00 | +81 6-6484-7731 |
| Grand Seiko Boutique Kyoto | Minamoto Kitchoan Kyoto Shijo Building, 21-1 Tachiuri-higashi-machi, Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto 600-8005 (on Shijo-dori, west of Fuyacho) | 11:00 to 19:00 | +81 75-354-5120 |
A few details from the official pages:
- Omotesando Hills has an immersive space with LED walls, video and music. It also has a corner where you can see and handle the Evolution 9 Collection, which Grand Seiko says was a first for its boutiques. It stays open an hour later than the others.
- Osaka Shinsaibashi is described as one of the largest Grand Seiko boutiques in western Japan, with a private consultation room.
- Kyoto is the only Grand Seiko boutique in Kyoto. Grand Seiko says it has the largest sales floor in Asia. It also has an Evolution 9 corner and a lounge for events.
Email addresses are listed for all three: omotesando@grandseikoboutique.jp, osakashinsaibashi@grandseikoboutique.jp and kyoto@grandseikoboutique.jp.
Grand Seiko watches are also sold by other retailers in Japan. Grand Seiko's online store search lists them. This guide covers only the six boutiques shown on Grand Seiko's main store page.
Grand Seiko prices in Japan: official list prices
Grand Seiko Japan publishes prices on its product pages, including Japan's 10% consumption tax. Here are two models featured on the boutique pages at the time of our check.
The SBGY043 (Elegance Collection) is a manual-winding Spring Drive watch with caliber 9R31. Its case measures 38.5 mm wide and 10.2 mm thick.
You pay at the store (tax included)
¥1,276,000≈ $8,053After the tax refund at departure (estimate)
¥1,160,000≈ $7,321Estimates only. The refund shown is the 10% consumption tax on the tax-included price; the actual refund method, timing and any fees depend on the store, so ask before you buy. Your card issuer sets the final exchange rate and may add foreign-transaction fees. Exchange rates as of 2026-10-20 (UTC) from Rates By Exchange Rate API.
The SBGW325 (Elegance Collection) is a manual-winding mechanical watch with caliber 9S64 and a power reserve of about 72 hours. It's limited to 600 pieces worldwide, 450 of them for Japan. Grand Seiko's page says it's sold at the five boutiques other than the Wako flagship, and at Grand Seiko's Boutique Online.
You pay at the store (tax included)
¥803,000≈ $5,068After the tax refund at departure (estimate)
¥730,000≈ $4,607Estimates only.
These are Grand Seiko's own list prices in Japan as of October 17, 2026. Limited models can sell out, and a boutique can't promise stock. If you have one model in mind, email the boutique before your trip.
Do you need an appointment at a Grand Seiko boutique?
On the pages we checked, Grand Seiko doesn't say that any of its Japan boutiques is appointment-only. The only booking system mentioned is Wako's online visit reservation for the Flagship Boutique GINZA, and that page doesn't say a booking is required.
The pages also don't say which languages the staff speak, or whether the boutiques offer tax-free sales. We didn't find that information on Grand Seiko's site, so we won't guess. Ask by email before you go. One email can answer three questions at once: availability, language and tax-free sales.
This is very different from buying a Rolex in Japan, where many stores use reservations or lotteries. If you're hunting for both on the same trip, see our guide to buying a Rolex in Japan, from walk-ins to reservations.
How to plan a Grand Seiko boutique visit as a traveler
- Pick your boutiques. For a short trip, the three Ginza boutiques are the easiest to combine. Omotesando Hills is a good evening option because it closes at 20:00.
- Email ahead. Include your travel dates, the reference number you want (for example, SBGY043) and your language. Ask whether the boutique offers tax-free sales.
- Bring your passport. You'll need it for tax-free shopping.
- Check the hours again. Hours above are as of October 17, 2026. Stores can change them for holidays or events.
- Plan around the tax-free change. See the next section.
If you already own a Grand Seiko, all six boutique pages mention a service called "Omoi wo Tsunagu" (roughly, "passing it on"). The boutique takes in a watch you have worn for years, and the Grand Seiko Service Studio refreshes it inside and out. The boutique can also suggest options for the person who will wear it next. The pages don't say how long this takes. If you leave Japan in a few days, ask before you hand over your watch.
Tax-free shopping changes on November 1, 2026
From purchases made on November 1, 2026, Japan switches to a refund method for tax-free shopping. According to the Japan Tourism Agency:
- You pay the tax-inclusive price at the shop.
- When you leave Japan, you present your passport at a customs terminal at the airport or port, and customs confirms the goods.
- After that, the consumption tax is refunded by the shop or a designated refund operator.
- The minimum is 5,000 yen or more (before tax) at the same store on the same day.
- Customs confirmation must happen within 90 days of the purchase date.
- You must carry the goods with you at customs, so don't pack them in checked baggage before the check.
Purchases made up to October 31, 2026 follow the old system, where an eligible shop deducts the tax at the register. Refund methods and fees vary by store, so ask before you pay. For the full picture, read our guide to Japan's 2026 tax-free refund rules.
