Rolex Ginza: Lexia Boutiques, Hours & Reservations

Looking up Rolex Ginza before a trip to Tokyo? There are two official boutiques run by the Lexia group, only a short walk apart. Their reservation system also changed this August. This guide covers where each one is, the hours Rolex lists, how visits are booked as of October 13, 2026, and what we saw when we walked in ourselves. We are a married couple writing as Roleo and Yomecchi. We are an independent site, and we do not sell, appraise, or buy watches.

Roleo
Wait, there are two Rolex shops in Ginza?
Yomecchi🤔
Yes, and the rules differ between them. That's why we check the official pages first.

Where are the Rolex boutiques in Ginza?

Rolex lists two authorized dealers in Ginza. An authorized dealer (AD) is a shop that Rolex officially appoints to sell its watches. Both belong to the Rolex Boutique Lexia group.

BoutiqueAddress (per Rolex.com)Hours (per Rolex.com, as of 2026-10-13)
Rolex Boutique Lexia Ginza (main store)3-5-4 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo 104-006111:00 am - 7:00 pm, every day
Rolex Boutique Lexia Ginza Namikidori6-6-7 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo 104-006111:00 am - 7:00 pm, closed Wednesday

The main store's listing shows the phone number +81 3-3567-1879. We read these hours in the Rolex.com search listings on October 13. The Rolex.com pages themselves refused our automated request, so please open them yourself and confirm. Hours and days off can change.

If you plan a Wednesday visit, the main store is the one that Rolex.com shows as open. Remember, though, that being open is different from being able to walk in (see the next section).

Do I need a reservation to visit a Rolex boutique in Ginza?

It depends on the store, and the answer changed in 2026. According to a notice from the Lexia group (updated August 25, 2026):

  • The Ginza main store stopped taking visit reservation requests after visits on August 23, 2026.
  • The Namikidori store started a visit reservation service on August 24, 2026.
  • Requests can be made any day of the week, for visits in the week after next. Confirmations arrive by email after 4:00 pm on Mondays.
  • The reservation service also runs at the Shinjuku and Nagoya Sakae stores.
  • If you only need after-sales service, you do not need a reservation. You can go straight to the shop.

The notice also says the policy may change without advance notice, depending on how many visitors come. It does not say how people are admitted to the main store now. Our own Japanese guide, published on 2026-09-09, listed the main store as lottery-based. That was written after the August notice, but we could not confirm it on the official site, so treat it with care. The notice may have changed this, so use the Contact Us page on the official Lexia site to ask the store directly.

Roleo
So the main store has no reservation requests at all now?
Yomecchi
Right. But "no reservation requests" doesn't tell us how people get in, so we won't guess.

What was it like when we visited?

These are our own records. They are single visits, not a pattern, and shop operations change.

  • Main store, weekday afternoon in the rain (written up on 2026-09-09): There was no line. A staff member seated us at the counter right away. We asked about the Datejust 36, and they told us it was out of stock that day.
  • Ginza (along Namiki-dori), weekday late morning to midday, twice in one week in September 2026: We were shown in without much waiting both times.
Store staff
I'm sorry, we're out of stock on the Datejust 36 today.
Yomecchi✨
But the rain paid off in one way. Zero wait, and the staff took time to give us real advice.

One lesson helped us most. Staff respond better when you say which watch you want and why. A vague "show me anything you have" works less well than "a Datejust 36 for our anniversary".

Will I be able to buy a Rolex in Ginza?

No one can promise that, and we won't either. Stock changes every day, and popular models are often not on display at all. On our main-store visit, the model we asked for was not available. A visit is still a good way to try watches on and ask questions.

We could not open the Rolex.com pages, so we can't tell you which services they list for each boutique. Whether a given model is available to a visitor depends on stock and on the store's own rules. We could not confirm anything official about foreign-visitor policies, English support, or payment methods, so we do not state any here. Ask the store before you go.

How do I choose a day to visit?

Use the official facts and keep it simple:

  1. Pick the store first. If you want a reservation, only Namikidori takes requests, and you must ask for a visit in the week after next.
  2. Avoid Wednesday for Namikidori, because Rolex.com shows it closed that day.
  3. Aim for a weekday. Both of our recorded visits were on weekdays, and we waited little. That's two data points, not a rule.
  4. Keep a spare half day. Walking between the two stores takes a short while, but the reservation and entry rules differ.

Can I use tax-free shopping when I buy a watch in Japan?

Japan's tax-free system changes on November 1, 2026. These points come from the Japan Tourism Agency:

  • Until October 31, 2026: You buy at the tax-exclusive price at a tax-free shop, and no refund is needed on departure.
  • From November 1, 2026 (the "refund method"): You pay the tax-inclusive price at the shop. You then present your passport at a tax-free procedure terminal in the international departure lobby, before baggage check-in. After customs confirms the goods are leaving Japan, you get the consumption tax back.
  • Time limit: Present your passport within 90 days of purchase.
  • Minimum purchase: Purchases must reach the amount below per shop, per day, before tax.
Minimum tax-free purchase per shop per day (Japan Tourism Agency)

You pay at the store (tax included)

¥5,500≈ $35

After the tax refund at departure (estimate)

¥5,000≈ $32

Estimates only. The refund shown is the 10% consumption tax on the tax-included price; the actual refund method, timing and any fees depend on the store, so ask before you buy. Your card issuer sets the final exchange rate and may add foreign-transaction fees. Exchange rates as of 2026-10-14 (UTC) from Rates By Exchange Rate API.

We have not confirmed whether either Ginza boutique is a tax-free shop. Ask before you buy. Refund methods differ by shop, so ask about that too.

Quick checklist

  • Check the Rolex.com listing for current hours and days off (as of 2026-10-13: main store open daily, Namikidori closed Wednesday, both 11:00 am - 7:00 pm).
  • Decide which store you want. Only the Namikidori store takes visit reservation requests, per the August 2026 notice.
  • If you request a reservation, use an email address you can check. Confirmations come by email on Mondays.
  • Bring your passport.
  • Know the watch you want and why. Say so in one or two sentences.
  • Ask about tax-free before you pay.

Next step: open the official Lexia site and the Rolex.com listings below, and confirm the rules on the day you plan to go.

Let's reread the official notice again before the next visit.
Yomecchi
Good idea. The notice itself says the policy may change.
