Rolex Price in Japan: Official Yen List Prices

Contents
If you are searching for the Rolex price in Japan, you probably want two answers. What does Rolex charge in yen, and is it really cheaper than at home? This guide gives you the official yen list prices for popular models, shows how the tax refund changes what you actually pay, and explains what to check before you compare countries.
We are an independent site. We do not sell, buy or appraise watches. Prices below are list prices that Rolex publishes for Japan, not offers from us.
What are Rolex's official list prices in Japan?
These are Rolex's published Japan list prices for a few popular references. They include Japanese consumption tax. We checked them against Rolex's Japan catalog in late September 2026. Prices can change at any time, so treat them as a guide and confirm on Rolex's site.

Is Rolex cheaper in Japan than in other countries?
Sometimes, but we cannot give you a blanket answer. A fair comparison needs the official price in your home country, the exchange rate on the day, and the tax treatment on both sides.
Many blog posts quote a single "savings" figure. We have not verified other countries' official prices ourselves, so we do not repeat those numbers here. Use this method instead:
| Step | What to do |
|---|---|
| 1 | Find the exact reference on Rolex's official site for your country. Note the price and whether it includes tax. |
| 2 | Take the Japan list price above. It includes 10% consumption tax. |
| 3 | If the refund applies to your purchase, divide the Japan price by 1.10 to estimate the price after the refund. |
| 4 | Convert yen to your currency at today's rate, using your card's actual rate if you can. |
| 5 | Subtract any fees that apply to you, such as foreign card fees or a refund operator's fee. |
A moving exchange rate can shift the result as much as the tax refund does. Check again close to your travel date.
How does the tax refund change the real price?
Japan is changing its tax-free system. Until October 31, 2026, many stores take the tax off at the counter. From November 1, 2026, you pay the tax-inclusive price at the store and get the tax back after customs confirms your goods at departure.
Under the refund method, the Japan Tourism Agency lists these points for travelers:
- You buy at least 5,000 yen before tax at one store on one day.
- You show your passport when you buy and at the customs step.
- You leave Japan within 90 days of the purchase date.
- The refund comes after customs confirms the goods.
Refund timing and any fees depend on the store or its refund operator, so ask before you pay. For the full process, see our guide to Japan tax-free shopping under the new refund rules.
Can you actually buy a Rolex at the list price?
The list price is what an authorized dealer charges. Popular steel sports models are often not on the shelf, and each store has its own entry system, such as queues, numbered tickets, lotteries or reservations. We explain how this works in our guide to buying a Rolex in Japan from authorized dealers. If you are visiting Ginza, see how to visit the Ginza Lexia boutiques.
An authorized dealer is a store that Rolex has officially appointed to sell its new watches. Rolex's own page on purchasing explains that new watches come from these dealers.
What if the watch you want is not at an authorized dealer?
Some travelers also look at independent retailers, who set their own asking prices. Those prices are not Rolex list prices. They are decided by each shop and can be higher or lower than the list price depending on the watch.
GINZA RASIN is one such shop. Its overseas customer page, checked on October 14, 2026, says:
- Staff speak English, Chinese and Korean, and the store also uses a translation service.
- It has stores in Tokyo and Osaka, open 11:00 to 19:30 daily according to that page.
- For tax-free purchases, you show your passport, and a credit card must carry the same name as the passport.
- The page says the tax exemption does not apply to brand-new Rolex.
- Its online shop accepts Visa, Mastercard, JCB and American Express, and bank transfer. It says it does not sell brand-new Rolex overseas.
- It ships by FedEx. Orders ship within three business days, with delivery in five to fourteen days after that, and customs can add time.
That page describes the current system. It does not mention the November 2026 change, so ask the shop how the refund will work for your trip.
Below, you may see today's listings for a few references. These are asking prices from that shop, not sale prices and not Rolex list prices. Check the condition and details on each listing. If a block is empty, the shop has no listing for that reference today.

Quick checklist
- Pick your exact reference and note its Japan list price from the official page.
- Look up the same reference on Rolex's official site for your own country.
- Estimate the price after the refund by dividing the Japan price by 1.10.
- Bring your passport, and keep the receipt and the watch's guarantee card.
- Ask the store how its refund works and whether it charges a fee.
- Plan time for more than one store, because stock changes every day.
Next step: choose two or three references, then read our authorized dealer guide to plan your store visits.
FAQ
How much is a Rolex in Japan?
It depends on the model. The price blocks above show official Japan list prices for eight popular references, from the Oyster Perpetual 126000 up to the steel Daytona 126500LN. Prices include consumption tax.
Is Rolex cheaper in Japan than in the US or Europe?
It can be, but it depends on the reference, the exchange rate and the tax refund. We do not publish a single figure. Compare the exact reference on Rolex's official site for your country with the Japan list price, converted on the same day.
Do tourists get a tax refund on a Rolex in Japan?
Foreign visitors can use Japan's tax-free system at participating stores. From November 1, 2026, you pay tax at the store and receive it back after customs confirms the goods at departure. Ask each store whether it is a tax-free shop.
Does the Japan price include tax?
Yes. Rolex's Japan list prices include consumption tax, which is why the refund matters for visitors.
Can I buy a new Rolex in Japan without waiting?
Not reliably. Authorized dealers often have limited stock of popular models, and many use queues, tickets, lotteries or reservations.
